Sylvia Soholt, Co-President, Board of Directors

Sylvia Soholt

As sole proprietor of Soholt Strategic Communications, Sylvia Soholt works with school districts, state departments of education, universities, and educational organizations to build support for high-quality K-16 education.  Her work in public engagement has been profiled in Education Week, the Journal of Staff Development, the School Public Relations Journal, the American School Board Journal, and Educational Leadership.  Through employment with KSA-Plus Communications, she has worked with clients in 41 states and presented at over 150 conference, association, and school district seminars, including the National Council of Staff Development, National School Public Relations Association, and American Evaluation and Research Association.

As owner of Sylvan Sanctuary on Vashon Island, Washington, she supports guests in their quest for creativity while managing and restoring a four acre forest and providing sanctuary for rescue dogs.

She brings to her work skills and expertise acquired through experiences in the public and private sector in the United States and Japan.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from City University.

She is the mother of two independent adult children.

Barbara Russo is President of Barbara Russo STRATEGICS. She is an Executive/Organizational/Life Coach, trained and certified through New York University’s School of Continuing Professional Studies, and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the NYU-SCPS Coaching Program and The Berkeley Extension, Business and Management Department. Barbara is certified through the International Coach Federation and holds additional certifications, including SDI  – Strength Development Inventory and Power Coaching.

As a facilitator, moderator, workshop and teleconference leader, coach, coach-trainer and presenter, Barbara’s focus is career transition and leadership development.

A former executive vice president of a national, New York-based personnel staffing firm and entrepreneur, Barbara combines the synergy of these roles and the breadth of her professional and personal experience to support and facilitate executives, career professionals, entrepreneurs, individuals, teams and organizations across the country through successful strategic transition and growth.

Barbara serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She enjoys living life and does so in both New York City and the San Francisco Bay area.

Mary Riley

In 2008, Mary Riley retired from a 32-year career in public relations and resource development for education, social service and health care organizations on both the West and East Coasts of the United States. She then became a full-time life coach after completing training at New York University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies. In 2010, while studying with Master Coach Alan Seale at the Center for Transformational Presence, Mary decided to step into a long-time dream to create a coaching organization dedicated to working with non-profit professionals who have important missions to fulfill. Thus began the Center for Non-Profit Coaching, a 501(c)(3) organization and resource for those who serve others anywhere in the world.

A native of New York City, Mary lives with her spouse, Max, and Angie, the beagle, on the North Shore of Long Island, New York.
